Stago opened an Indian office 18 months ago and participated for the second time in the annual conference of the ISHBT, the 55th edition of which was held in Hyderabad from 6 to 8 November 2014.
We presented products and analysers from the Stago and Tcoag ranges at our (open-air!) booth. Stago also supported one of the conference’s official Haemostasis sessions, devoted to topical issues in Haemostasis.
The session, chaired by Doctor Jasmina Ahluwalia and moderated by Doctor Sukesh Nair, consisted of three presentations:
- Doctor Das Gupta discussed issues that remain in the diagnosis of lupus-type circulating anticoagulant, despite the ISTH SSC guidelines;
- next, François Depasse addressed the influence of novel oral anticoagulants on Haemostasis testing, existing solutions for measuring their plasma concentration, and the interpretation of test results;
- and finally, Sukumaran Deivasiganami gave a presentation on the benefits of the dual (optical and mechanical) detection system offered by Tcoag analysers.
The next ISHBT conference will be held in 2015 in Bangalore (India).
